• Looking for experience Mission Assurance Engineer, with knowledge of Missile Defense Agency and/or US Government Requirements. • Past Experience with Northrop Grumman, ATK, Orbital or Raytheon Missile Systems a plus.
• We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Quality Engineer with deep expertise in mission assurance and a strong understanding of U.S. Government and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) requirements. • This role is responsible for driving mission assurance across cross-functional teams—including Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Test—supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from development through certification and into production.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate internal and external customer engagements to ensure mission assurance goals are achieved • Drive compliance through Compliance Matrices and lead contract reviews from a Quality/Engineering perspective • Interpret and flow down contract and quality requirements, including SOWs, SDRLs, and technical specifications • Serve as a key stakeholder in quality and operations, supporting Consent-to-Ship meetings, Material and Failure Review Boards, RCCA processes, and continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure adherence to AS9100 standards and MDA Mission Assurance Plan (MAP) Revisions B and C • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from development through certification and into production
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field • 6–8 years of experience in mission assurance, quality engineering, or a related discipline • Strong understanding of U.S. Government and MDA requirements • Experience with contract review and quality flow-down processes • Familiarity with AS9100, MAP Rev B and C, RCCA, MRB, FOD Control, and ESD Control • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
• Prior experience with defense contractors such as Northrop Grumman, ATK, Orbital, or Raytheon Missile Systems • Hands-on involvement in government or defense-related programs • Experience supporting audits, certifications, and compliance reviews • Quality and manufacturing background highly desirable
