Job Description
Summary: 
•Establishes and maintains customer relationships with commercial/industrial customers and municipal customers, to position client as one of the highest performing regional providers of energy products and delivery services. 
•Represents client products, services, initiatives, pricing, contracts, load retention, and communications programs inside and outside the company, while acquiring customers in new construction and conversions markets in areas as assigned. 
•Serves as the strategic ally with customers, public officials, trade allies, and community leaders. 
•Provides customized, prompt, and creative solutions for assigned customers and prospective customers to retain and grow revenues. 
•Listens to customers, becomes knowledgeable of their business, identifies energy-related opportunities to assist customers to improve their business opportunities, and provides solutions to energy-related problems. 
•Responsible for achieving sales and retention goals. 
•Organizes and serves on specialized internal and external cross-functional teams, as necessary. Education/Experience: 3-5 years related experience required. 
•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

•Client is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) who will be responsible for identifying and advancing new opportunities from both inbound and outbound lead generation to Sales Qualified Lead (SQL). 
•A successful candidate has at least two years of business development experience in a B2B phone sales role. 
•The candidate will possess the skills to convey our value proposition to actively engage and guide key decision makers to the benefits of energy efficiency solutions.

Typical task breakdown:
- Outbound Sales: Make outbound calls to potential customers to introduce our energy efficiency solutions, generate interest, and schedule appointments
- Inbound Sales: Handle incoming calls, providing information, addressing questions, and scheduling appointments
- Outbound Call Target: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual outbound call targets
- List Management and Development: Evaluating list quality researching customer information
- Product Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of the company’s energy solutions to suggest appropriate solutions to prospects (training provided)
- Reporting: Keep records of calls and note useful information in our CRM system (HubSpot)
- Interaction with team: MS Team, weekly 1:1 with team lead, emails

Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 2+ years of outbound/inbound B2B tele sales

Technical Skills
(Required)
- An established track record of sales success, routinely meeting and exceeding quotas
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills (Desired)
- HubSpot
- Sold a service over a product.
