- Coordinates the organization's daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Organizes warehousing for goods. - Reviews inventory to ensure that product adjustments are properly applied. - Plans and schedules inbound and outbound shipments to internal or external customers based on needs. - Acts as liaison between customers, freight carriers and shipping department. - Ensures on-time delivery of goods to customers, by investigating and resolving detention issues. - Assists is cost control by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting most cost-efficient method of shipment within Department of Defense guidelines. - Entry level: Typically 0 - 3 years experience.
Required Skills - Under minimal supervision, coordinates and expedites the flow of equipment to vendors. - Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverable. - Administratively receive equipment from vendors and coordinate with leads to process back into our system. - Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance and warehousing to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective support to the customer. - Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management. - Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate in regard to logistical functions performed under contract. - Coordinates and conducts pick up and delivery of measuring equipment with customers, employees, and management. - Follows established standard work instructions ensuring quality throughout the processes. - Creates shippers in the SAP system, coordinate with shipping departments to ensure process completion. - Maintains related records. - Packages equipment for shipping, ensuring all required paperwork is attached appropriately and billing the appropriate accounts. - Contacts vendors by mail, email, or phone to coordinate RMA/RFQ's, expected completion, tracking of shipments. - Update system to reflect most current status. - Proficient in General Computer use. - Proficient in Microsoft Office. - Must be able to lift 35 lbs. - Performs all other duties as assigned.

Additional Information - This position may lead to full-time employment if the selected individual meets our requirements after the first 90 days. - This selected individual may have the opportunity to cross train into a Metrology Technician 1 position. - Candidates do not need metrology experience.
