1. Can you describe your experience with Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on avionics products? 2. How have you contributed to the preparation of documents for regulatory compliance, and what standards were you working with (e.g., FAA, DO-160, MIL-STD-461, DO-254)? 3. What computer-assisted engineering and design software are you proficient in, and how have you used these tools in your previous projects? 4. Can you provide an example of a project where you led obsolete-component replacement investigations? What was the outcome? 5. Describe your experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging. How do you approach troubleshooting and resolving issues?
• Use your knowledge of hardware engineering to help client Aerospace deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our Business Aviation customers. • Working alongside some of the world's most talented engineers, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of client advanced avionics products by performing and documenting Qualification and Verification tests. • You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals developing state-of-the-art products for new business aviation aircraft.
Key Responsibilities • Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on Avionics products • Plan and execute Design Verification testing on Avionics products • Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance • Assist in product certification for customer & regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptance • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment • Lead obsolete-component replacement investigations
YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering • 4+ years experience in Hardware/Product Engineering • Experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification
WE VALUE • Experience with Product Safety principals for Airborne Electronic Hardware • Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.) • Basic knowledge of electronic display principles (e.g., LCD) • Experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging • Experience with serial data communication standards (ARINC 429, RS232, I2C) • Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications • Experience with optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization • Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes • Clear and concise communications |
