Job Description
What you will do:
Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines.

How you will do it:
-Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
-Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection.
-Professionally represent the company.
-Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through communicating devices, such as laptop computers, smartphones, and/or hardcopy.
-Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
-Complete assigned inspections on time
-Perform other duties as directed.

What we look for:
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
-Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
-Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
-Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
-Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
-Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
-Willing to travel out of town.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
-Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
-Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
-Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
-Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

 NC State Board of Examiners (Fire Sprinkler Inspector Tech License or contractor NICET II (must)
 2-5 yrs experience minimum
 Candidates must be able to drive their own vehicle to start but will potentially get a company's vehicle when one is available. (clear license to be able to drive to site locations)
 Workers will be traveling more than 50 miles per day.
 Inspectors rotate on call. They will be on call for 1 week every 5th week (Assuming there are 5 inspectors employed). They will answer emergency calls that will be anytime during the day while on call.
 Most sites are commercial, sometimes the worker will be servicing apartment buildings.
 99% of the work is inspection work. Sometimes they will have to reset a dry valve or do a break fix. The service team will usually take care of break fixes.
 Nice to have: State Backflow certification. OSHA 10.

The following is required: -2-5 years expereince in sprinkler inspection. -Either Nicet II or Fire Sprinklers License from the State Board of Examiners. -Must have valid drivers license/MVR. Techs will drive own vehicle but will potentially get vehicle later on.
