Description
The Sales Skills/Competencies and Sales Methodologies Instructional Designer collaborates with business partners and other learning professionals to develop learning solutions focused on Sales Competencies, 
Methodologies and use of Sales Technologies deployed
He/She participates in collaborative design sessions with subject matter experts to understand the business and learning requirements.
The Instructional Designer ensures the learning solutions are engaging, memorable and effective.
He/She works with the training team to validate the learning solutions created deliver the intended learning experience. 
Bias should be towards devising mechanisms and methods to deliver "in the flow of work" learning experiences.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide recommendations for learning solutions to the Instructional Design Manager that demonstrate the business impact of training initiatives
Apply adult learning methods to create learning solutions aligned to support the behavior change required for the learning audience
Create quality learning solutions designed for self-guided (eLearning) consumption or Instructor Lead Training (ILT)/VILT materials for trainers to meet the needs of the supported audience
Apply modern adult learning techniques to support classroom, virtual and online learning
Apply business skills to managing projects and coordinating with subject matter experts while building learning solutions
Maintain accurate status of projects, milestones, and tasks in the team project tracking tool
Diagnose and escalate risks to design projects to appropriate SPS Global Training & Development leaders and stakeholders
Develop partner relationships with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure the learning solutions are meeting expectations beyond initial implementation
Develop working knowledge of key Sales Technologies (CRM and adjacent tools) to develop training on effective use of these tools and tactics to drive adoption.
Adhere to defined processes and standards established within SPS Global T&D
Support team processes and standards
Create learning solutions that are innovative, highly engaging, and utilize the most advanced techniques and technology available, with a demonstrable impact on business results
Work closely with SMEs and instructors to review and revise training materials including lesson plans, student guides, online content, job aids,
Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
3 or more years of Sales Experience as an individual contributor or as a Sales Manager
Ability and experience creating content either for Instructor Lead Training (ILT) or Self-Guided Training (eLearning) using the following digital learning technologies (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia)
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple assignments concurrently and meet deadlines
Ability to execute direction/feedback regarding inputs into a modern facilitated learning interaction that is aligned to design principles
Demonstrated understanding of how different roles within a business need tailored learning
Ability to show good judgment, take initiative, and make decisions to accomplish job duties
Demonstrate an ability to work closely with peers to ensure successful learning outcomes
Driven, focused, and oriented to the functional design
Ability to manage time and work independently
Positive attitude, attention to detail and customer service focus
Project Management skills and the ability to plan, organize and successfully coordinate multiple priorities to meet all deadlines and deliverables
Relevant corporate instructional design experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Adobe Creative Suite/Graphic design skills a plus

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Organizational Behavior, Communications, or related field required and/or certifications in a variety of L&D areas
