Position Summary
• The Direct Labor employee assembles fabricated parts at designated workstations and performs testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to ensure compliance with product specifications and tolerance requirements. • The role involves the use of hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to established procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble fabricated parts and components at assigned workstations. • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet product specifications and tolerance requirements. • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble products according to detailed instructions. • Identify units that do not meet quality or testing standards and perform necessary repairs or corrections. • Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements. • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Apprenticeship and/or formal training in a related specialty area may be required. • 0 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field preferred. • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment. • Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines with close supervision.
Working Conditions
• Works under immediate supervision. • Primary job duties do not typically require independent judgment. • Reports directly to a supervisor or manager. • Physical Requirements and Special Considerations
