1. **Candidate must have experience with CNC Mills including setting up and running production as well as first article inspection**
Material working with: Mainly aluminum some stainless steel and a handful of titanium jobs 2. Tolerances: .0002” on bore and similar tolerances for runout as these are rotating assembly details that spin at greater than 70,000 RPM. 3. CNC Equipment: Ikegai lathes, TU15 model. 4. Controls Used: Early Fanuc controllers 5. Manual or not: CNC 6. Will they be programming: No all programs have been established for many years but some small updates to G code might be required based on best practices or preference from previous operators. This will be provided with each jobs data package. 7. Job shop or Production: Production
Other things to note: 1. This is that this is a low volume high mix production environment with multiple setups required daily 2. Machinists are expected to be able to manage up to 3 machines simultaneously to support work cell and if that is not manageable we will need more resources to support the area. 3. We do not have first piece inspectors and machinists are expected to be able to verify and sign off on all aspects of the operation in adherence of the requirements. This included linear, outside diameter, inside diameter, runout, etc. 4. Experience with air gauging to verify tight tolerance bores is a plus • Assembles, repairs, and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units. • Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. A high school diploma is a plus. • May be required to meet certain certifications in field and to have at least 2-4 years of experience. • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. • Works under immediate supervision. • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
Special Considerations: • Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. • Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.
