• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. • Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. • May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. • May report to an executive or a manager. • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• The new hire will be supporting the yield improvement project for the F414 EFC and EHSV product line with the following key responsibilities:
• Review and research of repair development technical requirements (processes, procedures, techniques, etc). • Review and research of repair development regulatory requirements compliance (materials, tools, equipment, technical documentation, facilities, etc.). • Participate in coordination of findings and proposed solutions for TAT reduction and FPY Improvement. • Participate in the integration of findings and approved solutions into current development and completion of Technical Publication Change Requests, Temporary and/or complete Revisions. • Participate in development and completion of Overhaul Repair Instructions. • Development and completion of repair processes and procedures documentation. • Development and completion of Technical Inspection Instructions. • Development and completion of technical equivalencies for materials, tools and equipment used in overhaul repair activities at Repair and Overhaul sites • Provide oversight technical support to ’s suppliers for overhaul repair activities.
