Job Summary
• Assembles fabricated parts at floor stations and performs testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand and power tools to assemble units according to established procedures. • Identifies components that fail testing or tolerance requirements and performs repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble and test components and finished products in accordance with engineering and product specifications. • Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards. • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair units that do not meet tolerance or testing requirements. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures. • Accurately document production activity and maintain required records.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the assigned specialty area. • Typically requires 2–4 years of experience in the field or a related area. • Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. • Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines. • Works under immediate supervision with limited need for independent judgment. • Reports to a supervisor or manager.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Lifting in excess of 30 pounds and/or frequent repetitive lifting may be required. • Exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological materials, or other physical risks is anticipated.
