Key Responsibilities: 1. Setup and Calibration: • Set up and calibrate CMM systems according to specific measurement requirements. • Adjust measurement parameters and tooling as necessary to ensure accurate readings. 2. Inspection and Measurement: • Operate CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspections on manufactured parts. • Accurately record and analyze measurement data, documenting results in specified formats. • Identify and investigate discrepancies between measured data and engineering specifications. 3. Quality Assurance: • Maintain quality standards by conducting routine checks and inspections of parts. • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify trends in defects and take corrective actions. • Prepare reports on inspection results, ensuring that records are up-to-date and accessible. 4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: • Troubleshoot issues with CMM machinery and coordinate repairs as needed. • Conduct preventive maintenance on CMM equipment to minimize downtime. 5. Collaboration and Communication: • Work with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements. • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel regarding measurement results and quality standards.
Qualifications: •Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree in a related field preferred. • Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing or quality control environment. • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and engineering drawings is a plus.
Skills: • Proficient in the use of CMM programming and measurement software. • Strong mathematical and analytical skills. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Other Requirements: • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and standards. • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities. • Certification in quality control or CMM operation is a plus.
Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for extended periods. • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
