•POSITION OVERVIEW Packs and builds wood crates material and products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Wraps, build crates, or places material in boxes or other containers. Stamps, types, or writes addresses on packaged materials.
Load packaged material and product on trucks.
Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Other duties may be assigned.
Use a variety of hand and power tools.
SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and have basic computer skills.
Ability carries out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Requirements
FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Pallet Jack
Lift more than 50 pounds
Basic measuring tape knowledge
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school education preferred. At least one year of shipping experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. •Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. •Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
