Description: Laboratory Technician * We’re not looking to have hard shifts but certainly getting people to come in early or late allows us to spread people out and reduce density of people in the lab. Need to be fluid due to the current COVID-19 situation.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: * Prepare formulations and run analytical tests on samples, assist with running chemical reactions, assist with maintaining supplies and chemical inventory, placing orders for laboratory supplies. * Analtyical methods: Wet chemistry for oil analysis, GC, HPLC, viscometry, general laboratory methods and equipment. * Work in safe manner. Follow safety practices. Record data and evaluate data for process determinations. * Work independently when needed. Follow complex instructions. Document work.
Minimum Education Required: BA or BS in chemistry or related discipline
Other Required Experience/Qualifications: * Experience performing analytical and laboratory experiments. * Must meet drug free corporate policy and be able to lift/move 20 lbs. * Maintain clean and organized work environment. Learn new analytical methods, record data, use of excell spreadsheets and microsoft word. * Assist in general laboratory duties. Follow safety and waste disposal guidelines.
Additional Preferred Experience/Qualifications: * Must be able to learn new analytical methods and use new types of equipment. |
