Job title: Fermentation Technician Principal Accountabilities: - Provide support to research scientists in the completion of research projects or activities - Conduct pilot scale fermentation trials, routine experiments, organizing and communicating results; may provide routine analysis as needed - Support Analytical needs - Ensure corporate EHS and Food Safety compliance - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Required: • Bachelor of Science degree in, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related Science field • Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, collaboration, and organizational skills. • Demonstrated commitment to safety in the job environment • Sterile technique • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment • Basic fermentation experience • Off hour sampling • Preparation of analytical samples • Microsoft Office suite
Preferred: • 6 months to 3 yrs. experience with fermentation • Yeast fermentation experience • Glycerol stock preparation • Familiar with basic laboratory practices and equipment such as pH meters, analytical balances, and autoclaves
