Job Summary
• Assembles fabricated parts at floor stations and performs testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances and product specifications. • Uses hand and power tools to assemble units according to established procedures. • Identifies components that fail testing or tolerance requirements and performs repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble and test components and finished products in accordance with engineering and product specifications. • Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards. • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair units that do not meet tolerance or testing requirements. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures. • Accurately document production activity and maintain required records.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the assigned specialty area. • Typically requires 2–4 years of experience in the field or a related area. • Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. • Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines. • Works under immediate supervision with limited need for independent judgment. • Reports to a supervisor or manager.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Lifting in excess of 30 pounds and/or frequent repetitive lifting may be required. • Exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological materials, or other physical risks is anticipated.
