Job Description

• This role is based at the , supporting precision measurement and quality assurance of aerospace components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Key Responsibilities

Setup and Calibration

• Set up and calibrate CMM systems according to measurement requirements.
• Adjust parameters and tooling to ensure accurate readings.

Inspection and Measurement

• Operate CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspections.
• Record, analyze, and document measurement data and results.
• Investigate discrepancies between measured data and specifications.

Quality Assurance

• Perform routine checks and inspections.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to identify defect trends and corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance

• Diagnose and resolve CMM equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Collaboration and Communication

• Partner with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Communicate inspection results and quality standards effectively.


Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years operating CMM equipment in manufacturing or quality control environments.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and engineering drawings is a plus.

• Proficiency in CMM programming and measurement software.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements

• Understanding of quality control methodologies.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Certification in quality control or CMM operation is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
