Job Description

a. Do you have experience as a production or process engineer in a factory environment?

b. Do you have experience implementing Continuous Improvements ideas to improve production processes?

c. Do you have experience managing inventory and change management with production suppliers?

d. Do you have any Lean/Six Sigma experience?

Key Responsibilities

a. Support day-to-day lab operations and the small lot production of Hybrid MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) devices used for Aerospace Radar Altimeters.
b. Work with production planners to develop optimal small lot schedule to meet planned demand.
c. Inventory management: identifying and tracking critical shortages, planning lead times, ordering lab materials.
d. Product and Production document maintenance and management.
e. Lead and manage equipment/process troubleshooting and repairs.
f. Perform RMA Processing and lead investigations and corrective action activities.
g. Ensure compliance to client Quality and Safety standards and processes.

You Must Have

h. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
i. 5+ years’ experience in production operations or laboratory environment.
j. Sound technical judgment and opinions. Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, based on fundamental technical information.
k. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting.
l. Ability to read/interpret product drawings, specifications, and schematics.
m. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
n. Demonstrated leadership behaviors and capabilities.
o. Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Production Engineer role supporting the Hybrids Lab with small lot production of Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits. 
• Inventory management: identifying and tracking critical shortages, planning lead times, ordering lab materials. 
• Perform production document maintenance and management and lead equipment/process troubleshooting and repairs. 
• Works with other members of the lab staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. 
• Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. 
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. 
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
• Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. 
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Will report to the department engineering manager.
