Scope of Work: Administer employee symptom and risk screening at a facility. Screening will be completed to minimize facility exposure to any employee with an elevated temperature or flu symptoms. Also, light janitorial work such as taking out trash Essential Functions:
- Administer employee temperature screening using a medical grade adult non-contact thermometer. o Place the infrared thermometer within 1-3 inches (5-8 cm) of the employee’s forehead without physically contacting the employee. o Disinfect the thermometer after each employee scan using a disinfectant wipe and dispose in a designated waste container. - Make a pass/fail determination based on screening protocol and symptoms. PASS: o If forehead temperature reading is normal of 98F - 100.3F (37.2C – 37.9C) the employee will be permitted to enter the plant. FAIL: o If forehead temperature reading is above 100.3 (37.9C) this is considered a fever. The employee will be denied access to the plant, directed to go home and instructed to follow-up with a medical provider. o The employee will also be provided a “next steps” reference information sheet at the time of denial. - Screening administrator will be required to don the following PPE. o Safety Glasses and face shield o N95 Particulate Respirator or Three-ply ear loop mask o Tyvek Lab coat or similar o Nitrile Gloves Education GED or High School Diploma |
