Information Record Clerk 

• CANDIDATE MUST HAVE STRONG TYPING SKILLS
• CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXCELLENT DATA ENTRY OR TYPING SKILLS 
• This position is responsible for handling documentation submitted to our office by, or on behalf of, applicants for PK-12 Educator Certification in Florida.
• Duties include, but are not limited to the timely and accurate processing of mail, files, applications, certification fees, data, and fingerprint records.
• The Records Technician staff positions within the Records Unit are responsible for daily intake of certification applications, processing fee payments, and accurately integrating all supporting correspondence into the Educator Certification technology systems within 2 business days of receipt.
• Timely and accurate processing ensures that applicant materials, 200,000 items or more annually, are properly filed together electronically, enabling our bureau to achieve its goal of evaluating complete applications within 30 days or less.
• This is a teamwork-oriented position in which the employee must interact courteously with others.

• This is a highly independent position, responsible for timely productivity and quality assurance of information entered into the Educator Certification digital imaging and database records systems, ensuring all documents are accurately entered.
• The employee must be productive under tight time frames, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions.
• The employee’s performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.
• Attendance is an essential function of this position.

JOB SKILLS NEEDED
• Data Entry and/or Typing of 35 WPM.
• Familiarity with filing procedures to perform alphabetical, numerical, or chronological filing.
• Experience Preferred with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
• Must be comfortable working as a member of a team and independently
