Description: • Lead a portfolio of quick-turn projects for the APU product line including (but not limited to): completing business case assessments, establishing technical solutions, developing/managing schedule, budget, scope, risk, requirements, specs/SOWs, etc. • for the above-stated projects. This includes close coordination within engineering, across the integrated supply chain, the product leaders and other relevant stakeholders. • This role relies on extensive project engineering experience to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks.
Basic Qualifications: • Requires a bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience • Project engineering experience with APU or propulsion products is required. • In lieu of APU or propulsion experience, complex integrated systems experience may be considered. • Should be a self-starter, with the ability to work in highly ambiguous environments with minimal direction. • This role should be familiar with fabrication and advanced manufacturing processes, general supply chain knowledge, approaches to simplify/streamline product costs and how to drive rapid results capture. • Performs a variety of highly complex tasks. • As a project engineer, will lead and direct the work of others. • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. • Will report to the APU BD and Operations Senior Manager, but coordinate daily with the team leaders. |
