Software Engineer
•As part of the digital transformation, we are looking to use technology in new and innovative ways to introduce new business capabilities and achieve industry leading business outcomes. As the Cloud Engineer assigned to the IT Cloud Services Team, you will work to build, manage and support our journey to fully leverage the technology benefits of the Cloud platform.
•The Cloud Engineer is involved in the full technology life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, automating, configuring, testing, implementing and supporting infrastructure and software in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Technology Engineers work closely with Analysts and Product Managers to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions
•Design, configuration, development, documentation and testing of technology solutions to meet business or technology requirements. Evaluation of existing technology solutions to determine fit for purpose for the new business or technology requirements. Recommendation of technology alternatives. Collaboration with other individuals to ensure proper integration of the new technology solution with the existing technology solutions.
•Automation of key tasks using scripting languages such as Lambda and Python
•Maintain a focus on Cloud related costs, review usage, and develop effective solutions to minimize cost profile.
•Evaluates existing technology solutions and platforms and provides recommendations for improving technology performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of needed modifications.
•Collaborates with all stakeholders such as enterprise architects, software development, operations, cybersecurity and infrastructure to integrate applications and hardware.
•Conducts design and change record peer reviews in support of upcoming changes. Peer reviews may be required as part of contractual obligation in cases when the content subject to peer review is completed and submitted by an outside party.
•Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle, especially Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall.
•Ability to create both technical and non-technical end-user documentation.
•Basic knowledge of the practical application of role specific engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
•Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
•Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business.
•Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• Two or more years of hands-on experience architecting and supporting AWS-based application in a large scale enterprise environment
• Understanding of core AWS services (such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Route53, RDS, Lambda and CloudFormation) uses and basic architecture best practices
• Proficient in CloudFormation using YAML
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 4 years of professional experience. Desired
• Experience with AWS Lambda functions using Python, Java, Node.js and/or C#
• Experience with PowerShell Skills:
