Senior Engineer – Aerospace
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high tech environment, balancing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks with minimal supervision and direct work of others.
• This person will be the POC for Overhaul to the customer(s) and Supervisor.
• In depth knowledge of Gas Turbine design, test and manufacturing systems.
• Resolves complex challenges involving highly technical and scientific methods.
• Documents results and conclusions and incorporates findings into formal specifications and instructions. • Participates in establishing operating procedures or best known methods. • Plans and performs effective periodic briefings to customers, and management using advanced statistical and other scientific methods to assure product integrity.
• Determines acceptability and manufacturability of processes with customer expectation.
• Recommends and implements innovative solutions based on proven best practices. Provides technical consultation to others.
• Contributes to technical project teams with ability to perform both hands on, detailed, tasking and mentor/develop similar or relative skills in others. • Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advancements that improve quality, reduce flow time, improve performance and reduced operational cost.
• This also includes but not limited to First Pass Yield (FPY). Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 4-6 years with a BS in Aerospace engineering directly related to machine shop, assembly, test, turbine engine, aviation, or military experience.
Additional Qualifications:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills within all levels of internal organization and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and provide manufacturing, cost effective, solutions within given schedule expectations.
• Ability to management multiple projects.
• Previous experience in process reclamation of Turbine Engine Components Additional Comments:
