Job title / Position - Sr. Design Engineer
Reporting To - Engineering Leader
Qualification: B.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience : 2-4 + Years
Essential Technical Skills / Knowledge :
• Expertise in 3D Modeling and Parametric Detailing, Family Tables etc. • Expertise in Solid works 2017 • Good knowledge on Material selection (Engineering Plastics, Rubber & Metals) and mechanical hardware selection such as Screws, gaskets, O rings and other sealing elements • Experience on GD & T, Tolerance Analysis, DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly). Good Knowledge in Drafting Standards especially ASME 14.5M, DIN, BSS, etc • Have understanding on Different Manufacturing Processes like Plastic Injection Molding, Metal Parts Machining, Casting, sheet metal process, joining methods etc. • Expertise in QFD, DFMEA, PFMEA etc • Must have experience in Engineering change Request and Engineering change order implementation. • Have an understanding of NPI / Product Development Life Cycle and Product Design skills with Problem solving and analytical capability.
Preference:
• Experience in SAP ERP and PDM module is preferred. • Exposure to design of Personal protection equipment such as eyewear and face protection. • Exposure to Six Sigma methodology / statistical methods.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent coordinating and interacting skills, particularly of cross functional teams on a Global basis. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent problem analysis, judgment and technical decision making skills. • Excellent implementation skills like Planning, Estimation, Execution and Quality check.
Job Description:
• Create concept modeling in Solid works and detailed drawing. • Modification of existing drawings • Review and approve the test validation results. • Implementing the ECRO, Redline Markups and implementing it with all the necessary approvals. • Co-ordination & Follow-up with, Functional Excellence Teams, Manufacturing and Team Lead for day to day project activities. • Responsible and Accountable for Quality of the Drawings
