• Looking for candidates that have mechanical hands-on experience as a military helicopter mechanic. • Please focus on ex-military, fixed/rotary wing maintenance experience. • Responsible for the day to day testing associated with the Research, Development and Qualification of Pneumatic Systems Components.
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Works with, receives training and takes direction from, Engineering Test Services (ETS) Laboratory personnel to accomplish testing and test related tasks through various work instructions (verbal, draft, published and electronic). • Performs, functional testing on pneumatic components at various steps in the development maturity lifecycle. This includes research, development, qualification and in service component investigation activities. • Provides test support including setup, fabrication, operation, and maintenance of test operations during test. • Identifies test unit or systems discrepancies, through analyzing and performing necessary tasks. Interprets and annotates test data from test instrumentation per lab policies and instructions. • Works with Engineering and sub groups to achieve setups where critical data acquisition and or equipment is used in an effective and accurate manner. • Reviews and participates in process improvement activities including; test equipment selection, test procedure generation, facility requirements, safety & code compliance and testing process evaluations • Understands and practices all ETS lab procedures that are pertinent to a particular function, as outlined in the latest company policy. • Must qualify for and maintain compliance of Company issued Quality and Regulatory recognized (FAA) stamps to indicate proper test activities were accomplished. • Follows safety guidelines and reports all observed safety violations. • Performs other related duties as required regardless of scope
QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma or GED equivalent • Minimum of 2 years of Aerospace hardware performance testing or related experience. • Due to Export compliance program requirements, (US Citizenship is required)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: • Read and understand assembly and work instructions, test work instructions, hydraulic schematics, blueprints and all other related paperwork • Ability to utilize precision measuring and gauging equipment used on high complexity & close tolerance / precision components • Ability to receive and work to verbal and written instructions from others with some level of supervision. • Independent judgment to analyze test data and communicate findings with various Engineering Disciplines. • Working knowledge and experience of Pneumatic (Air), Hydraulic (Fluid), and Electrical power components, systems and capabilities. • Basic knowledge in mechanical assembly, disassembly, tooling fabrication and ability to use basic power tools. • Ability to lift 35 lbs and be able to work from a sitting or standing position with good range of motion & dexterity. • Willing to work evening (Second) shift and other non-standard and/or additional hours on short notice to support near term customer milestones and schedules (Overtime, Off-shifts) • Basic word processing and computer skills including; Microsoft excel, word, Office, and internet. SAP knowledge is a plus. |
